Devised & Performed by Colin Roy
Acclaimed West End performer Colin Roy and his Swing Quartet, skilfully led by musical director Steve Hill,
The Nat King Cole Musical Revue was devised and written by Colin Roy. In taking the first steps to begin the script, sheer good fortune bought Colin in contact with Roy Holmes, head of The International Nat King Cole Fan Club. Roy kindly provided a wealth of research material and also authenticated the script to ensure that the details of dates, songs, facts etc., were correct. Quite simply, what Roy doesn’t know about Nat, not even Nat knew himself! Roy was featured in the BBC TV documentary The World of Nat presented by Paul Gambacinni. Colin’s fellow performer and friend Danny John-Jules directed the show and together they strived to create a musical revue that would be a fitting tribute to such a great prodigy, not only to bring his music to the stage but to tell some of his fascinating life story. Colin knew Danny was the right man for the job as Danny’s passion, creativity and sense of humour was unrivalled.
with special guest artistes brings you a truly Unforgettable evening.
